Somehow, being able to express myself through written words is simpler than saying it.

words.

DAY 251 11062011

Seriously, my mind's numb right about now. That word splashed on the screen pretty much took everything...every effort, every drop of sweat, tear, blood...just everything.

Who knew words could be so powerful. Just a simple yes and no could spell a happy win or a devastating defeat. It could light up your life, or crush your world. And it doesn't take a second to do it. We've been given so much freedom to utter whatever we have going in our twisted minds and we've taken that freedom so far beyond what should be that we don't even notice when we go beyond the boundaries. And yes, there are boundaries, contrary to popular belief. Of course, you don't need me to spell that one out for you, do you?

They say, "Why would you be hurt? It's only words. You can prove it wrong." And I'm not saying that's not true because it is. 100%. What I'm saying is, yes, you may prove it wrong, but it takes TIME. And by the time you do correct it, too much damage, irreparable most of the time, could have been done. Now THAT you CAN'T do something about. No amount of twisting, turning, crying, pleading and thrashing around could undo a damage so great it could just have become a turning point in your life. So now, why would you be hurt? Why should WE be hurt? Because it hurts. Period.

So people, the next time you say something awful, irrelevant of how you said it (jokingly or under a feat of rage), think twice. I mean really THINK about it. Because you never know, behind the smiles or the tears of the person you just talked to, some seed of hate might be brewing. And the last thing we need right now in this already chaotic little world is another seed sprouting. We've already done enough damage.

Think about it.
