Somehow, being able to express myself through written words is simpler than saying it.

for my dad with the great big smile

Sept. 24, 2011. A day I've always remembered, since the day I was born, as Daddy's day. His birthday. His special day. His day, period.

On this day, he turned 52. Quite young, if you ask me. hehe =) So we chose to celebrate this one like usual. A quiet family dinner somewhere nice. This year, we chose The Ching Palace at Lahug, CC (coz my sister wanted chinese food and my mum recommended the place).

Why do you write?

A pen and a paper are powerful things. Probably one of the most powerful in the world. It can put a smile on the face of someone who just received ecstatic news, make the heart of a girl in love flutter, and can even make dreams come true. On the down side, it can provide the most heartbreaking news, make the happiest man alive cry tears of anguish, or crush your world. Whatever the case, things written down, are a testimony of a part of someone’s feelings. And the pen and paper are mediums for this testimony.

So why do people write despite the risks? What risks, you ask? A lot. The greatest of which is the risk of having a part of your inner self possibly exposed to the world, a world full of critics and disbelievers. Well, I don’t know the reason for anyone other than myself. Here’s mine.

One Morning at Joven's

On my 4th straight night shift (I feel like I'm working at a call center now with my schedule) and will be going on my 5th tonight (talk about exhausting!).

This morning, Goi2x went for a visit to our station and I thought he was just here coz he wanted to chikka. Well, I was wrong about that. Somehow, him and Princess talked me into eating breakfast somewhere before heading home for a much needed rest. I declined but then, people know how persuasive these two can be. ^^ It's either that or I was just gullible and wanted to go with. =p I'd like to think it's the former. ^^

One Birthday Eve

Last night, Sept. 11, 2011, Princess celebrated her birthday and we were there to celebrate it with her.=)

Since I'm in the middle of my sick leave and haven't entirely recovered yet, I promised myself I'd have a clean, fun, non-wild night. And that I absolutely had. =)

So let's start the storytelling.
I arrived late at the meet-up place - AA Grill - (which was pretty embarrassing) and when I did arrive, Phoebe, Ewew, Tadz, our birthday girl Princess, and her family were already there.

it's all about our hearts

Hanging out with friends is always fun. But when we lack one person in the group, the moment, no matter how fun, will always feel like something's missing. So to bridge that gap, well, here's what we did... =)

Reina, we miss you lots. And although, we don't say it that often, we know you hear us, our voices, and our hearts shouting out to you that we miss you...across country borders, across oceans, across vast lands... We love you Rein..and for that, we made this special video so you know you'll always be with us, whenever, wherever. <3

We'll see you soon love.

Hands Down

Let me share a song that will always remain one of my most unforgettable (coz he sang this for me <3 which was highly unlikely with his type of personality). Tears trickled down my eyes when I heard him sing and play.. *but don't tell him that* =)

HANDS DOWN

Sugar's Day

It was a night like many others. With people I see almost every day in the past year.
But now, we say goodbye to one.
Mam Donna.
One of our bestest best staffs. One of our most talkative staff. One of our most treasured staff.
A friend. A mentor. A colleague.
A part of our lives.

one, two, three

Chibon and Sofia.
Two of my bestest best buddies in the entire universe and beyond.
Two of my closest pals.
Two of my most trusted friends.

The Life of a Nurse

The 3rd of September, 2011 and our first day back at 6B.

Somehow, things went really roughly for our first day. As soon as we arrived, hurricane struck. Charts, words, medications, and people were flying around like crazy! We received people who didn't come from our station and it wasn't easy. We had to arrange all of our things, forms and whatnot, on top of caring for the patients. It soon became dusty all around and this did not help my sinus problem. Not one bit. In fact, due to my allergy to dust (hahahhaha), it worsened it. Sneezed, sniffed and coughed my way through the day, thank you very much. =p
