Somehow, being able to express myself through written words is simpler than saying it.

Generation Gap

Sometimes, it bugs me a lot that the generation before us blame US for living in a world that was, for one thing, created by THEM.

They say we, the younger generation, have become so "worldly", so "rebellious", so "techie" that we've lost all meaning to social contact.

They throw mean looks at us for simply learning to live through everything we've been given. And what's pathetic is that they were the ones who gave it to us.

They created technology. They created parties. They allowed us to go out late at night. They encouraged free will and open mindedness.

They ENCOURAGED it all and then corner us and say we've become so materialistic, immature, and irresponsible.

As if their generation was any better.

Yes, they lived in a completely different world than we do.

In their's, they had curfews and hard labor and physical punishments for mistakes.

But didn't they create this world because they SAW the bad in theirs?
Didn't they create the world as we know it today because they wanted BETTER for us?

And now that they did, after having pushed us to live in a world we had NO SAY in, after practically throwing us into a pit of mental and emotional stress, they say that WE are different? That we have become WORSE? That we made the world worse?

Well, let me say this. That's is a big pile of crap right there.

The previous generation created the world as we know it today and then go blaming US for everything atrocious resulting from what THEY created! Which part of that context is fair?
