Somehow, being able to express myself through written words is simpler than saying it.

Hidden Paradise

On the eve of whenever, bestie, Chibon, and I were bored. We talked and, well, I guess two bored friends spell a lot of trouble cause, by the end of the conversation, we decided to have ourselves a little fun under the sun. I can't pinpoint the specifics because its been a while and I've seriously forgotten the details of our talk. Just know that it ended up with us deciding to spend 2 days and 1 night somewhere. Where that was, well, we didn't really know. Nor did we care. The company was all that was needed. ^^

on one of our spontaneous slumber parties.
On the morning of the day we decided to hold our crazy adventure, we expected the sun to greet our happy faces with its radiant shine. But alas, we were let down. A storm was brewing and the sky was dark. Trickles of rain from the day before was evident on the ground. Wet, dark, and gloomy, that's what that morning was.

But we weren't about to let the depressing greeting of the world turn our smiles upside down. We were dead set on pursuing our 2-day adventure, by hook or by crook.

With our somewhat big bags in tow, we headed for the internet cafe to search for great, and budget-friendly, places we could possibly stay the night. We were supposed to head north, to a cold spring in Carmen before heading for a resort in Danao but the seas, the sky, and of course transportation weren't on our side. It didn't take much time though before we both decided to head the opposite direction and lodge ourselves into the confines of Hidden Paradise Mountain Resort.

Having finally decided on the place, we stopped a teensy bit at the mall to do some grocery shopping. It was supposedly just for dinner and a little chichirya here and there, but well, it ended up like this *see picture below*. Oh, and that doesn't include the food we bought at Jollibee for brunch. =D

We talked our mouths off at the van, sitting at the very back, as we headed south, and we noticed this girl always looking at us with that annoying little look of hers. We concluded that people really are rude sometimes. They mind other people's business so much they forget to mind their own. Or maybe she was just really interested with our conversation. Either way, people, it's rude to eavesdrop! Especially when you don't know how to hide it! =p

Anyway, we had a little...shall I say, mishap, on our way to the resort...

Well, we didn't really know how to get there. I mean we did, but not exactly. I haven't been there and Chibon's been there only a couple of times, all of which involved being with someone who knows the way. So we called her boyfie, Titoy, to help with the directions. And he gave us the best ones he could. But, well, when you're not really familiar with the area, no matter how good the directions are, you're bound to get lost, right? Right. And so we were. =D Ended up getting off the van too late and having to take the jeepney back, asking Mr. Kind Driver to please drop us off at our destination. It was embarrassing, but well worth the experience. =D Now all that was left was the motor ride high up the mountain. That was inexplicably horrible. The road was steep, it was drizzling, we had a lot of baggage with us, and we both rode the same motorcycle. So by the end of the ride, our legs, arms, backs and butts ached. A lot. But again, it was worth it.

Finally checked ourselves in around lunchtime, scanning the place quickly before heading for our Deluxe room. =D The place was scarce with people. I guess when there's a storm warning around town, people don't really go out to adventures like we do. =D

And then, a barrage of photo ops...^^

A LITTLE BIT OF WEDDING CRASHING:
*go figure* We're crazy that way. =p

A LITTLE BIT OF TOURING:

And finally it was time for dinner.  =D Food there was great! Although a little costly, but because the portions were quite large, the price was ok I guess. =) As usual, we overestimate our eating abilities (I do that quite a lot these years. I never learn. haha) and ended up ordering much more than what we can actually contain in those stomachs of ours.

With dinner done, all that was left was to have a relaxing night swimming (and I use the term loosely, very very loosely, here). This time no pictures were taken. We decided to just enjoy the night away, no camwhoring involved. A first for us, I think. =D

We talked, catched up on our lives, talked about our futures, our families, our friends, our loves, our careers, just everything. Since we both weren't experienced swimmers...let me rephrase that, since we both DIDN'T really know how to swim, we just floated, dipped and splashed around the pool like little kids. That's what we are I guess. Little kids at heart. =D It was also freezing cold, but well, when a storm's coming and you're swimming in a pool on a mountain at night, it's bound to get cold, right? =D But it was fun. And we didn't care. =) It's one of the most precious memories I'll have with bestie and I'll be treasuring that night forever. =D

But the night grew darker and colder and before we catch a cold or something, we decided to head back to our room. Washed up, prepared our beds, and we drifted off to sleep.

The morning after, I'm not sure if we woke up early. I guess it was early because there was only a faint glow of the morning light. A little rolling here and there on the bed, some sightseeing on the terrace, some pondering on the world (?_?), and then it was back to camwhoring. ^^

FINAL TOURING:

Had our breakfast (free with the room), surrendered our key, and left the place feeling refreshed and destressed. But not before one last bumpy motor ride downhill. =D

It was one helluva day. Spent a few more hours at Chibon's place and headed home from there. =)

Friends forever? Yeah. Forever. <3
I love you achi! <3
